Desk: your phone is your computer's scanner

A private browser workspace for moving phone photos to your computer, cleaning them up, and making PDFs.

What it does

Desk turns the camera already in your pocket into a scanner for your computer. Open Desk, point your phone at its QR code, and take as many photos as the session needs. Each one appears in the browser, where you can download it or select several pages and make a PDF.

How it works

Three small tools do one job each. Camport moves the photo between devices. Flatbed finds the document, straightens its perspective, and cleans up the image. Outtray assembles selected pages into a PDF. Desk is the thin workspace that connects them and keeps the files in browser storage.

Why trust it

The transfer is encrypted from the phone to Desk. The relay sees short-lived identifiers, timing, and padded encrypted bytes, but the key stays in the QR link and the relay cannot read the photo. After arrival, processing happens locally and Desk does not upload stored files. There is no account and no cloud file library to forget about.

Built from tiny packages

Camport, Flatbed, and Outtray are useful independently, so each has a small public demo and a focused API. Desk uses those same public packages rather than private shortcuts. The production build measures their compressed sizes and displays the result in About, alongside a 256 kB JavaScript budget for the whole app.
